This research and academic development conference encourages critical debate of innovative and challenging ideas on assessment and feedback practice and policy.
The themes for our 2017 conference invite a wide range of papers, practice exchanges and posters. Themed posters, accompanied by a short pitch from the authors, have been a particular strength of the conference and have encouraged networking by delegates.
Who is the conference aimed at?
The conference will be of interest to higher education lecturers, academic developers, professional learning support staff and those with responsibility for the management and quality assurance of assessment. This conference is for researchers and practitioners and is an opportunity to share and learn about both research and innovative practice in assessment in higher education.
A thought-provoking and supportive conference
The 2017 conference will build on the success of our previous conferences where we have made particular efforts to encourage critical debate but also a supportive and friendly environment. A combination of new thinking from keynote speakers, presentations on new research, and sharing of innovative practice have provided a high-quality forum for debate.
‘Great conference, full of thought provoking collegial debates and excellent networking’ (delegate comment on Twitter 2015).
‘A great opportunity to learn about new directions in research in a friendly environment where everyone seemed very approachable and helpful’ (delegate email 2015).
